This year, Rewrite the BiLine continued to catalyze a diverse and growing movement working with creators, institutions, and local leaders to reshape the stories and the systems that impact bi+ people and non-nuclear families. We launched the inaugural Bi+ Writers Fellowship, trained and consulted with 161 creators influencing bi+ representation in film and television, and unveiled a first-of-its-kind tool mapping bi+ stories across publications nationwide. We also served as the anchor partner for West Hollywood’s Bi+ Visibility Week and helped advance two landmark city ordinances. These milestones reflect a year of turning visibility into lasting cultural and structural change.

As we close out and celebrate our first year of operation, we are feeling excited and hopeful about the evolving state of bi+ representation in film, TV, and the media.

Thank you to our investors and supporters, particularly Echoing Green who provided Rewrite the BiLine with its first seed investment! Rewrite the BiLine received a 2024 Echoing Green Catalytic Grant to support pilot projects and test bold, new, and unproven ideas that improve racial and other equity outcomes.
