ABOUT
OUR WORK

01

Narrative Change.

We champion authentic and accurate representation of bi+ and polyamorous characters across film, television, theatre, and news media.

Our work supports creators at every stage of the storytelling process—from page to stage and script to screen. We collaborate with writers, filmmakers, and theatremakers to develop authentic bi+ and polyamorous narratives. We organize roundtables and creative labs that bring together bi+ and/or polyamorous individuals with screenwriters, playwrights, and directors. We also offer script development support and ongoing consultation on set, on stage, and beyond.

To advance our mission, we focus on four interconnected strategies:

02

Public Education.

We increase public understanding by producing reports, guides, and panels.

Bi+ people are the largest part of the LGBTQ+ community. Yet, we're still widely misunderstood and erased in media. We produce media reports, best practice guides, and public panels to spark industry dialogue on how to create more authentic bi+ characters and portray diverse families with openness, compassion, and accuracy.

03

Investment in Storytellers.

We expand investment in bi+ and polyamorous storytellers.

The stigma faced by bi+ and polyamorous people on screen, on stage, and in the media stems from their underrepresentation in positions of creative and financial power.  Through fellowships for emerging writers and partnerships with news agencies, we provide a platform for bi+  and polyamorous people to help shape the political and cultural conversations of our time. â€‹

At the same time, we work with funders, foundations, and investors to design and implement strategies that expand resources for LGBTQ+ communities—with a focus on bi+ people and non-nuclear families.

04

Policy Change.

We advance policies that reflect the realities of how people live and love.

For too long, laws and public benefits have centered on the nuclear family model. Our policy work aims to shift that. We provide research-driven guidance to local and state governments seeking to update laws and policies to be more inclusive of diverse family and relationship structures.
